 Earlier this week, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court issued an Order that rolled out amendments to Pa.R.C.P. 223.2, pertaining to juror notetaking.The amendments served to expand the Rule in this regard.Under the amendments, a trial court judge is no longer able to prohibit juror notetaking in trials that are anticipated to take less than two days to complete.Also, the amendments expand the Rule to now allow for note taking by jurors during both the Opening Statement of a trial as well… [read post]
