Linda Harper-Brown is carrying the TCJS Sunset bill, which has been assigned to the County Affairs Committee (chaired by Democrat Garnet Coleman), not Corrections Committee, which would seem like the more obvious choice.It's not that the Sunset legislation as proposed doesn't have some good things in it, particularly improving the complaint process and increasing transparency about problems found at individual jails.
