However, Courthouse News reports that in their dangerous drug complaint, Katy and Daniel Moore are claiming that not only did the defendants disregard poor manufacturing conditions, but also, Johnson & Johnson and its subsidiary McNeil Consumer Healthcare had contractors secretly go to stores that carried the tainted products and purchase all of them in an attempt to keep the recall a low profile one.
