During the first awards ceremony to be held at the center Friday, District Superintendent Stanley Mantooth repeatedly encouraged the students to show their enthusiasm, and the hundreds gathered complied with gusto as district event coordinator Vickie Brown, Mantooth and Ventura County Superior Judge Kent Killegrew, who coordinated the effort between the court volunteers and the Mock Trial, handed out awards.
