One theme of the Black Lives Matter movement is that rampant police brutality has cost the police the "community's" supposed "trust," and that the police need to earn it back by genuflecting to BLM's (and the Administration's) sneering cops-should-sit-in-the-corner attitude.BLM is exactly correct that police should earn the trust of normal, law-abiding members of the community.
