  We do know that other countries, in particular the UK and Japan, have carried much higher levels of debt than the US, which is one of the reasons that I have continued to be a debt/deficit dove all these years.To be clear, however, the point about context made by the emailer mentioned above comes into play here, because when I referred to other countries carrying "much higher levels of debt than the US," those comparisons can only make sense if one refers to government debt… [read post]
