Media Law in Other Jurisdictions Canada: The prime minister of Ottowa, Stephen Harper, is being sued by a former Cabinet minister, Helena Guergis, for “conspiracy, defamation, misfeasance in public office, intentional infliction of mental suffering, and negligence.” His lawyers claim the action is “frivolous, vexatious and an abuse of process.” The National Post has a brief report here.
