Supreme Court has confirmed that it wont won't hear an appeal in the "Sherlock Holmes" case (Leslie Klinger v Conan Doyle Estate) in which in which the Court of Appeals for the 7th Circui upheld the decision of the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois - Eastern Division that author and lawyer Mr Klinger was free to use material in the 50 Sherlock Holmes stories and novels that are no longer protected by copyright.
