This is the sort of amount the  government loves to throw out to the court, but doesn’t bear on the fact that it wasn’t all spent on Buell, but on legitimate investigative services like interviewing witnesses, and, to the extent it was spent on Buell, may well have been the best use of indigent defense funds ever.
