In other news, a new study examining gender and the death penalty, by Professor Steven Shatz and Naomi Shatz, finds gender bias in the application of the death penalty, specifically, that crimes against women are more likely to get death and that a woman who commits a capital offense identical to a captial offense committed by a man is markedly less likely to get the death penalty.
