Sherman, director of the Jerry Lee Center of Criminology at the University of Pennsylvania, said a better solution would be a 'stop and frisk' policy to keep people from carrying guns in public places. Allowing the police to just go up to someone and stop, frisk, or search them (much less arrest them) gives those citizens far fewer rights than the rest of us have, without them having done anything besides being birthed.Racial profiling also doesn't work and it tends to make police departments lazy.
