According to a 2005 interview in Mother Jones magazine with Greg Berman, director of the Center for Court Innovation, Reno subsequently used her position as attorney general to foster a national movement for drug courts.Separately, in 1993, Berman said, a community court was created in Manhattan to address quality of life crimes such as prostitution, drug possession, and vandalism.
