Anyway, to get back to Tennessee, according to the news report, a former state representative of the Republican persuasion named Chris Clem attempted to get a bill passed banning adoptions by gay people back in 2005, but it was killed in committee, so it seems unlikely that there will be a legislative overruling of the A.G. by amendment of the adoption statute, which would be unconstitutional in any jurisdiction where enlightened jurisprudence prevails.
