Similarly, Lisa Sample and Timothy Bray (2003) found that 7% of those arrested for a sex offence were reapprehended for a sex offence within five years.Certainly compared to these findings, the overall recidivism rate of 88.3% for sex offenders recently reported by Ron Langevin, Suzanne Curnoe, Paul Fedoroff, Renee Bennett, Mara Langevin, Cheryl Peever, Rick Pettica, and Shameen Sandhu (2004) stands in striking contrast.
