In Massachusetts, Skyhook had also brought a state lawsuit over competition issues, which exposed some of Google's Android-related practices (but that's the only thing that competition lawsuit has achieved).The direct effects of the transfer aren't the worst part: both Delaware and Massachusetts are relatively slow districts for patent infringement cases, and Skyhook is based in Massachusetts, which could be helpful with a view to a jury trial. I don't know about the work QE did for Marvell, but what they have done and continue to do in the Apple-Samsung case is very impressive -- the problem is just that Samsung added its own design patent infringements (very costly under U.S. law) to Android's manyfold software patent infringements, and there was strong evidence of a strategy to copy Apple.
