Lucy Fyson, the director/camera woman who was with me everyday was so enraged at injustice that she often worked away from the camera to help people who were being filmed and was very protective to ensure they didn’t get edited in a negative way. [read post]

As Lucy Series noted, judges in these difficult cases try to ‘distance themselves from the values they attribute to the person, and to state that their decision is based on the person’s own values, not those of the judge or wider society – but the decisions are based on the ways in which the decision maker, through their narrative power, chooses to characterise that person’s values.
