Parkdale Community Legal Services was established in 1971 at the impetus of Osgoode Hall Law School, but it was not until 1976 that the (then) Law Society of Upper Canada established a committee to address legal clinics, when 7 clinics were created, some 25 years after the first legal aid plan had been created.
