Really, we need to sit down and hammer out a new primary system and a new electoral process for choosing the president, as there is no good reason to retain the Electoral College, as it distorts the democratic significance of both large and small states and essentially eliminates the important of some votes (e.g., Democratic votes in Texas essentially count for nothing under the current system).Fair enough.
