Indeed, my co-blogger Eric Segall wrote an excellent column last week discussing an essay by Thomas Homer-Dixon, a Canadian scholar who studies "the causes of war, social breakdown, revolution, ethnic violence and genocide" and who warned in a recent opinion piece in The Toronto Globe and Mail that "Canada must prepare" for the possible collapse of the American polity.I highly recommend Professor Segall's column, which summarizes the issues clearly… [read post]
