The North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles’ 2013 Traffic Crash Facts says that among teens age 15 to 19: 1,189 were involved in alcohol-related crashes, 2.9 percent of all motor vehicle crashes in NC in 2013. 17 were killed in alcohol-related crashes, 27 percent of all teen car accident deaths in NC in 2013. 634 were injured in alcohol-related crashes, 5.8 percent of all teen car accident injuries in NC in 2013.
