Compounded with an accrued lack of sleep from the previous three nights (not my fault), a cloud of gloom hovering over me relating to a situation I was not able to resolve before I left (also not my fault), and poor diet in the days leading up to the ride (this was totally my fault) I was already having a bad ride and I hadn’t even left my home turf.
