Morris, 160 P. 3d at 217 (Az. 2007) is the final case I came across and seems most factually similar in that it involved evidence that smelled like decomposition, but, unfortunately, only indirectly addressed the appropriateness of allowing the jury to smell the item. involved a murder case where the prosecution introduced a jacket found near the victim’s decomposing body.
