Now let’s say that the union learns there’s 500 employees in the unit it applied for, and after some investigation, it figures out that 40 of those employees (in say Jobs I and J) are not union supporters and moreover Jobs I and J are such that the labour board would likely agree to carve them out of a unit comprised of Jobs A-H.
