 All these tactics exist to keep ordinary people in their place as workers who get a pittance of their productivity profits and are "flexible" (meaning can be fired upon short notice by private equity firms flipping companies for their own (preferentially taxed) profits) while the military can control the resources and make good deals (for US multinationals and the military leaders, not for the people of the exploited country).
