Considering that the Rosetta (named after the Egyptian Stone) orbiter was launched ten years ago but was conceived of in the 1980's, decades after comet 67P Churyumov-Gerasminko was first discovered, for me this is an excellent metaphor for how our kind patiently approaches problems by building upon the insights and discoveries of the past.
