In 1920, Harvard had not lost since 1916, "was then the ranking football power of the East," had been unbeaten in 1908, 1910, 1912, 1913, 1914, 1919 and 1920, had won 25 and tied three under Coach Bob Fisher, the coach when it played Centre's "Praying Colonels," and had won the Rose Bowl of January 1, 1920.
