Especially since the way we allow parties to paper judges here in California is a bit troubling in any case, but particularly so when -- as here -- there are definite efficiency (as well as potential equity and uniformity) concerns.When the trial court here denied the peremptory, it said: "It is the practice of the Los Angeles County to file petitions on any subsequent child born to the mother and/or the same parties that are involved in the case virtually at the same time.
