Whether a statement "perpetuate[s] racist stereotypes" is irrelevant to whether it's fact or opinion: Saying "Volokh is sneaky and conniving" is opinion (because it's so general) regardless of whether it's an attempt to perpetuate stereotypes about Jews; saying "Volokh cheated me in a business transaction" is a factual assertion (a false one, I stress!)
