For this reason, it is nearly universally agreed upon that all federal courts must adhere to rulings already decided by the Supreme Court (and that district courts must also follow rulings from the circuit courts that have appellate jurisdiction over them), even if those rulings are wrong as a matter of legal interpretation, and even if the higher courts may very well reconsider and overrule those earlier decisions in the near future.
