So far, investors at U.S. issuers are supporting annual advisory votes on compensation by a 2-to-1 margin over a triennial frequency, according to ISS data, which includes vote results from 13 S&P 500 and 31 Russell 3000 companies.Pursuant to the Dodd-Frank Act, all large and mid-cap U.S. companies (with meetings after Jan. 21) will have to ask their investors this year to indicate whether they prefer annual, biennial, or triennial votes on compensation.
