The ESA should be amended to restore a provision requiring 24 hours’ notice to employees of a change to a shift or work schedule unless the change: (a) will entitle the employees to overtime pay; (b) is an extension of a shift prior to the end of the shift; or (c) must be made with less than 24 [minority: 48] hours’ notice because of unforeseen circumstances.
