If all this is right, then it's much easier to understand what's going on in the majority opinion in a case like Dobbs—which doesn't toss substantive due process in the dustbin of history, doesn't revive the Privileges or Immunities Clause, but simply keeps on going with the Glucksberg history-and-tradition test, reversing certain precedents (like Roe and Casey) in the name of obeying another.
