Apple and some of its fans have unreasonable and unrealistic ROI (return on investment) expectations, such as that Samsung should pay, for its alleged infringement of five allegedly-valid patents, more than 40% of Apple's annual R&D budget.Apple has been and continues to be rewarded generously, but this level of profitability is in my opinion not sustainable at the same high volumes unless Apple comes up with "the next big thing" that really convinces customers to pay a hefty premium.
