After the last law school opened in 1976 (at the University of Calgary), there were no new schools until Thompson Rivers Faculty of Law opened in British Columbia about ten years ago and the Ryerson Faculty of Law (now the Lincoln Alexander School of Law) and the Bora Laskin Faculty of Law at Lakehead University in Ontario opened in 2013 and 2020, respectively.
