Supreme Court on June 26, 2017.[10]   That very day Phillips got a call from Autumn Scardina, a transgender Denver attorney, asking for a blue cake with pink frosting, and indicating that the design referred to her status as transgender.[11]  Phillips explained that his religious beliefs barred him from making the cake.According to a complaint Phillips filed later on, a campaign of calls and emails followed.
