  Yesterday's Tuscaloosa News had a brief item in the Alabama Exposure column written by Dana Beyerle.Many district attorneys who showed up in Montgomery last week to support Shelby County District Attorney Robert Owens Jr. did so not because they necessarily believe in Owens' position regarding the death penalty in a controversial case but because they believe that Attorney General Troy King got involved in their business. A Shelby County judge moved Gambleoff death row.On Sept. 12, in announcing that he was taking over the case, King said itwas "incredible and outrageous" for Owens to testify that Gamble should notbe executed.Thirty of Alabama's district attorneys gathered in Montgomery this week todemand an apology from King.
