 Some lawyers in Mississippi, and these would be people with no love for State Farm or insurance companies whatsoever, have said to me that this type of conduct -- let's call it Scruggsism -- was an immense disservice to policyholders in the long run, an unwarranted seizing of the brand of policyholder litigation for Scruggs' own purposes, and one which has cast disrepute on worthy claims and on honorable policyholder lawyers.
