A California company has recalled 300 cases of Serrano peppers, imported from Mexico, because they may be contaminated with Salmonella.World Variety Produce, Inc., of Los Angeles said the recalled peppers were sold in Walmart stores in Wisconsin, Montana, Utah and Wyoming and Jewel-Osco stores in Illinois from March 1 through March 18.Routine sampling by the USDA revealed that the finished products contained the bacteria.
