The entire 3-week process was filmed by filmmaker Michael Lindsay-Hogg, resulting in several hundred hours of video, and director Peter Jackson has put together 9 hours showing them working on the new stuff - basically writing most of it on the fly, rehearsing different versions, etc., along with a lot of just goofing around, and arguing with each other about the music, and many other things.
