LSUC decision from the Supreme Court of Canada that explicitly recognized “large and liberal” “users’ rights” re fair dealing, AUCC has, for whatever reason, conceded that the basic rate should go UP by 800% and not down by an appropriate multiple.It is clear that, for practical purposes, the model license greatly weakens the concept of fair dealing and users’ rights.
