   Interestingly, this weekend the NY Times Arts & Leisure section has featured an article about how the film Bonnie & Clyde back in 1967 marked a quantum leap forward in the realistic depiction of violence on the screen, unleashing a wave of bloody films that have gone so far as to make artistically acceptable a level of blood and gore that would have been unimaginable previously.
