Tell me if I'm crazy for thinking this out loud.One sometimes sees in the literature connecting the family and criminal law/criminology the claim that children (or family members generally) are at special risk of violence or harm from other family members, much more so than risks posed by acquaintances or strangers (notwithstanding the hysteria/moral panic over (non-family) sex offenders in America).
