But let me borrow from a point made by University of Pennsylvania Professor of Law Paul Robinson in an op-ed in yesterday's New York Times, "Shoot to Stun," that suggests that a number of non-lethal weapons are available, including tasers, that are far more effective as means of self-defense than handguns.
