  There’s an argument against this:  community control sanctions exist to allow the probation department to monitor the defendant to make sure he observes the conditions — pay the fine, make restitution, get drug treatment, anger management counseling, whatever — but if you don’t impose any conditions, you don’t need to monitor him.
