Laptops have tactile keyboards attached; and, smartphones have tactile or on-screen keyboards that are too small; but, tablets, with larger screens than smartphones, have on-screen keyboards (that laptops don’t have, meaning the elimination of a piece of equipment, if you’re comfortable typing on the screen) that are easier (than smartphones) to type on and that reveal enough of the screen to see what else you’re doing.
