In a different German court challenge, the Berlin District Court overturned a fine issued by the Berlin data protection authority due to the authority’s failure to meet the requirements of German law, which sets a higher bar than the GDPR, namely that there must be evidence of a specific act by management or legal counsel that resulted in the fineable offense.
