I've argued here, of course, that the current fiscal crisis (brought on by many of those people, by the way, whose estates will likely be big enough to be subject to the estate tax if we are not so foolhardy as to repeal it before they die) calls for rethinking the "tax cuts are always good" mentality that was set in motion with Ronald Reagan's "privatization, deregulation, militarization, and tax cut" dogma.
