In a decision last month by the Landlord and Tenant Board of Ontario, a residential tenant was ordered to pay his landlord, Christine Celuba, $10,000.00 in compensation for damages caused as a result of his smoking in a residential unit that he rented from her.Christine Celuba was in the business of renting out fully furnished units to short-term renters, which often involved executives interested in non smoking accommodation.
