That strikes me as a pretty smart tactic on its part; after all, the marginal cost of any individual book is relatively small, but bloggers (at least, one hopes that law prof bloggers, a subsegment that Henry Holt seems to be targeting) tend to be literate and voracious readers, and to traffic in a similar population.
