The unusual thing about this decision is that the teacher testified that she thought the student had made academic progress not because of his IEP but rather because of modifications implemented by the teacher that were not submitted to or approved by the IEP team. [read post]

The only reference to Positive Behavior Supports is the section on IEP development which requires in general that when the IEP team believes that the student's behavior impedes his own learning or the learning of other students, the team should then consider PBS or other strategies. [read post]
